Katherine started her writing journey when she read English Literature and Creative Writing at the University of Warwick in 2015. Whilst studying, she was granted five successful theatre bids with local theatre groups and companies, having her original scripts and adaptations performed around the Midlands.

Since then, Katherine has expanded her writing portfolio into radio, film and poetry.

Whilst studying her Scriptwriting Masters at the University of East Anglia, she wrote and developed a radio pilot “Distance Over Time” with producer and director Jeremy Mortimer, having it recorded at both the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts and the University of Westminster.

In November of 2019, her Virginia Woolf adaptation ‘‘Daughters of England’’ ran at the historic Maddermarket Theatre in Norwich.

Also during her studies, she wrote and developed a film script with Drama Studio London, entitled “Curbed.”

Her first successful poetry publication was with the publishing house Kunsthalle Cromer in their anthology “Like The Sea I Think.” She was the runner-up in the national Hestercombe Gardens Poetry Competition, 2019 and has recently been published in the reputable poetry webzine “Ink, Sweat and Tears,” with her poem “Hibernation Girl.”

In 2020, Katherine won the Snoo Wilson Writing Prize for her radio series “Car Crash Girl” which was in development with radio and playwright Steve Waters.

In 2021, Katherine was published with Poetry Wales and longlisted for a Poetry Society Collaboration Prize.

She looks forward to her play, '“Colloquium”, touring around London this August, after its initial debut at the UEA Drama Studio and development at the Bread and Roses Theatre. It has recently been nominated for an Off West End Award.
