The Fountain of Youth, 2019.
I am very excited to be performing a poetry set at the wonderful Norwich Arts Centre, for the wonderful arts festival, run by the Young Norfolk Arts Trust.
Poetry Performance on the Lord Mayor’s Stage.
Performing my poetry on the Lord Mayor’s Lost River Stage in Norwich this weekend was lots of fun! Keep an eye out for my poetry sets around the UK.
Daughters of England @ The Maddermarket Theatre.
Daughters of England is an adaptation of the Virginia Woolf short story, “A Society.” It follows Poll, a young woman in the 1910s’, who can only gain access to her father’s will on one condition; to read every book in the London Library! Including all the copies of The Times in the basement! Though this is an impossible task, Poll embarks on her journey through literature, only to find that books aren’t all they’ve been made out to be, by the men in her life.
This play bites its thumb at Hamlet.

Runner-up in the National Hestercombe Gardens Poetry Competition
Extremely happy to announce my poem, Earthwormer, has placed as a runner up in the Hestercombe Gardens Poetry Competition, 2019. It is a pleasure to win my first placement in a competition of this size and scale!
The Sunday Times article, “The Young Text and the Fleeting Performance.”
In 2018, I had the pleasure of writing about play-writing for The Sunday Times, on the lead up to their national writing award, The Sunday Times Young Writer of the Year Award, and development opportunity. My article, “The Young Text and the Fleeting Performance,” investigates what it is like to give up control of a piece of writing when you are young and still forging a writing identity, and how the process of staging a piece is the process of giving up a certain amount of control.

“Colloquium”, an original play by Katie Stockton, was first staged at the UEA Drama Studio. “Colloquium” is a darkly comedic and satirical critique of the ‘Oxbridge’ interview process that was received with critical success. Read the review here.
”Colloquium”, an extract, has since been published, and can be purchased in print here.
Radio Interview with RAW FM.
I was able to talk to the presenters of RAW Radio about my upcoming stage productions in Warwickshire, Out of the Woodwork and The Televangelist, and talk about the process of writing and adaptation for the stage!
Listen to the full interview, with actor Aaron Chote and myself, here:
The Televangelist @ Warwick University.
The Televangelist is a darkly comedic satire, written by Katie Stockton, about a televangelist turned Bible Studies teacher. How will our TV star survive in front of a class of children, who can naturally sniff out his inauthentic more than any adult ever could?
The Televangelist had a three-night run at Warwick University in the summer of 2018.

Brink @ the Freshblood New Writing Festival
“Brink” is a dystopia stage play, written by Katie Stockton, that first was staged as part of a short plays festival, produced by Fresh Blood New Writing in Warwickshire.
People are going off to war. That’s, if not normal, well, digestible. But people never coming back? No exceptions? That’s something to worry about.
“Brink” explores a man and a whole country, both on the brink of collapse.
